Distressed Denim and some sparkle

There is just something about distressed denim…One of my favourite things to throw on after having on office clothes all day, or all week. I instantly feel good when I put it on, classic distressed denim and sparkles always does it for me, and of course, its one of my fav combos, gold and black.

Casual Outfit Red Accessories

I love the feeling of jeans and a big sweater. I just adore big comfy sweaters. As glam and as girly as I can be there is nothing better then a cute comfy oversized sweater.

I made the look my own by pairing it with fun red accessories and of course a wide brimmed hat.

Heart Blouse and denim for work

One of my looks for the office. Just put on jeans and a blouse but the jeans are a very dark denim and a boot cut, which makes them more appropriate to wear for a casual office dress code. Was such a gorgeous day had to get out and enjoy the fall weather, my favourite. The fall colours are gorgeous, fall fashion is always amazing and hair and makeup can finally stay how I put it in the fall. It’s the best season!

Leather skirt and floral blouse

I still remember this outfit and the attitude of it. The sense of confidence it brought me. At the time, I had been seeing a guy that was so hot and cold I didn’t know how to feel. I was new to dating at this time, my last relationship being 7 years. Dating and myself had changed a lot since then. I was frustrated and confused and started to feel insecure, but then I caught myself doing that and thought screw it! I’m amazing if he can’t see that or doesn’t want to see it his problem. So, I got dressed up in something I felt amazing in and went out! Leather always seems to be my go to when I think screw it lol. Anyone else? Or is that just me? It gives out that kind of vibe! And I always feel kind of sassy in it.
I threw on heels, of course! Something about heels that just feels like confidence and power. I loved this floral off the shoulder top with the leather, the combination of it. Add in some big hair and makeup and some fun gold star tattoos. I was feeling like myself again.
I love love love that fashion can do that for you.

Make you feel so confident in yourself.

The mood reminds me of one of my favourite quotes I’ve seen on Pinterest…
“She remembered who she was, and the game changed”
Thankful I still have the pictures to remember the feeling and the outfit, the guy didn’t last much longer though.

Accessories: Green Bib Necklace

I felt like wearing a big flowy dress to help beat the heat, but I didn’t have any that looked good with my lovely crazy big green bib necklace that I was set on wearing, so I repurposed this skirt into a dress by belting it, so it didn’t look too much like a tent.  I’m all for dramatic shapes and oversized clothes, just wasn’t the look I was going for this night.

I first met Lianne 5 years ago through a mutual friend as she was contemplating the idea of starting her own business. As an Entrepreneur myself and having a shared interested in fashion, Lianne and I clicked right away!
As a professional DJ, style and appearance are very important, key part of my brand. With fashion constantly evolving, it’s essential I remain current but also find pieces that work within my overall look.
Initially, I would send pictures to Lianne of outfits for her feedback. I found she really understood what I was trying to achieve and where I was heading with my style. Since then I have worked with Lianne on a number of occasions, most recently to choose out new glasses.
What I love about working with Lianne is she pushes you outside your comfort zone to try new looks but does so in a way that makes you feel at ease and excited when you see something you would never would have chosen for yourself work and come together in an outfit!

I highly recommend Lianne to anyone looking to redo their entire wardrobe or simply want to add a few key accessories to their existing look.

Tricks to help you break out of a style rut

Even I (an absolute lover of fashion and a complete clothes hoarder or shall I say collector) can feel blah and uninspired about my wardrobe.
Some weeks I just find myself in a complete style rut, especially in my office wear.
The best thing I have found to do (without shopping) is to begin your outfit from on interest piece, something you don’t wear often, or a piece that you are not sure how to wear.
Such as…
• A brightly coloured pair of pointy flats
• A fun accessory, earrings or an eye-catching bracelet that can be the focal point of your outfit
• A statement necklace that can really make any ordinary outfit feel alive again
• A coloured or patterned pair of pants
• A beloved scarf that doesn’t get enough of your attention, tie it around your neck in a new way or on your purse or wrapped around your wrist
Put one of these on and try on coordinating pieces from there
Don’t think too much, just try on, you would be surprised what a little mixing and matching can do
You don’t know until you try…. Think about all those exceptionally fashionable girls you see that you admire and think how they thought to put that together?!
This is how, they try anything, and sometimes it just works
Your outfit will look and feel a little more new and exciting and you will feel great without spending a penny

Work Wardrobe Package Customized for his needs

New Graduate
Lianne was an unbelievable help in getting me “dressed for success” as a new graduate. Like most recent graduates, my budget was low and my student debt was high, so getting the most out of my money was a top priority. Lianne expertly guided me through the process of building a wardrobe that would take me from underdressed student to stylish young professional. She started with what I had, using her natural eye for styling to assemble great looking suit combinations that I never even thought to put together. Next she rounded out the essentials, helping me pick out some missing articles that I just couldn’t get through the work week without. She then sprinkled in a few high-value, versatile pieces that could add a little flair, but could be worn in a bunch of settings and combinations so that I didn’t break the bank. She happily helped me stay within the budget I had set out, and also left me with a few helpful tips on what items I might want to add down the road when the budget allowed.

First Raise
I was in need of a complete wardrobe makeover. I had just received my first promotion, and also lost a bunch of weight. Having upgraded my job, and my fitness level, it was time to upgrade my suit game. I had some suits, but given the weight I had lost, no amount of tailoring was going to transform them into something I was proud to wear. Likewise, a lot of my shirts were not enabling me to attain the slimmer look I was going for. At the same time, as a young professional living in Toronto, I still had a lot of bills to pay, so keeping to a mid-sized budget was important to me. Lianne enthusiastically tackled the challenge head-on. She took stock of what could be salvaged from my current wardrobe, and really focused in on what kind of look I was going for, and what colours would work best for me personally. Then it was time for suit shopping! By targeting sales, I was able to get four brand name, beautifully-fitting suits for under $2,000. By guiding me through what was worth spending the money on, and what I could afford to select cheaper options for, Lianne actually enabled me to fit some upscale casual Friday options into my wardrobe as well. Everything was pulled together, as we added in shirts, and were often able to match shirts to ties I already owned. The result was spectacular. I had a completely revamped wardrobe that allowed me to show off the new me, and everyone took notice. One month in and I am still receiving compliments on the ensembles

Accessories: My Love for Hats

I absolutely adore hats. Any shape, size or colour.

I feel like they make any outfit I put them with.

A lot of people fear them, and I will admit, although I am very confident in all my hat choices I still get stares and many double glances when I wear them.

I guess they are not as common in the real world as they are in the fashion social media world I live in sometimes.
But I still throw them on any chance I get because they make me happy.

Lianne has always had exceptional fashion sense, so it was only natural that I came to her for assistance on what to wear to an outdoor wedding. Not only was she able to expertly coordinate clothing, shoes and accessories for myself, she made sure that my husband’s outfit coordinated with mine! Her excellent follow up skills and scheduling ensured that I did not feel stressed about timelines and showcased her professionalism.

She was able to keep all our purchases within my required budget, dressed both my husband and me comfortably for the September weather and keep me entertained through the shopping experience with her knowledge on the most recent fashion trends.

I will be meeting with Lianne for the upcoming wedding season for any events I may have.
